I'm looking for a PDF source for the user manuals for

the Leader 5860C Waveform Monitor
the Leader 5850C Vectorscope

The Leader website used to cover these but the manuals were kept behind an email signup site and Archive.org didn't capture them. Leader USA (manufactured) looks like they got bought out, or retired to Japan two years ago, the current website doesn't have any support for anything older than HD equipment.

I got a chance to snag these before they were surplused and wanted to learn how to set my IRE levels properly when capturing with an ATI card or DVD recorder... the vectorscope thing was just part of the parcel.. i don't know if its of any use.

Thanks for any suggestions

See here: http://www.digitalfaq.com/forum/vide...rate-ntsc.html

Tektronics used to have a nice page on setting up a TV studio with a waveform monitor and vectorscope, but it looks like its gone.

Edit: Here it is in PDF form: http://www.tek.com/dl/25W_7247_1_rfs.pdf

I have never seen the "Bars and Stripes" article before, its very good. Perfect description of the Waveform and Vectorscope use.. and I had no idea what a color corrector was for.. or how its different from a proc-amp.

The explainations were low tech and tailored towards cameras at first.. but then focused on VHS playback correction.

That's exactly what I needed!

Sincerely.. thank you.
