But it's not the best one anymore. In fact, I can't even find the Tapco brand anymore. I'd instead suggest the Behringer Xenyx 1002B. It's much better.

Excellent board.
These allow you to pre-process audio via the 3x EQ and levels (gain), and then further process in
Sound Forge or Audacity, which is precisely what I do. With these boards, you can known out a lot of initial hiss and volume issues.
