Hi there,

I've been happily converting away for many months during lockdown - but recently came across a batch of tapes on a local Facebook group, and took a punt that they might have some content I was interested in. As it turns out, they do - some old motorsport (again).

The clips attached are from some footage contained on an old Thorn E-180, from 1980. The rest of the material on the tape, which isn't really of interest to me, is much better in quality. But as you can see from the footage attached here, the action I'm interested in has very bleached appearance, and also fuzziness in the colours (particularly red).

I've tried playing around with the settings on the 1T-TBC-GL to see if it makes any difference, but it doesn't really seem to overcome the colour fuzziness (is this chroma?). I've also captured the tape through a datavideo TBC-1000 to see if that did a better job of it, but again, no difference.

Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions on how AVS files and VirtualDub might be able to help clean this footage up? Out of the thousands of hours I've captured over the past couple of years, this is the one that's proving a mystery to me.

Kind regards to all,

Discy

Thanks - that's not a plugin I've used before. Will look it up.
