Hi all,
I had said I was looking for this in a few comments, but I got no responses, so I thought maybe a separate post might grab someones attention.
I'll hopefully be testing my setup this weekend and need something to test with. I have a DVD player (which plays videos from a USB stick) with an RGB to S-video converter. I'm going to use this to record a sample tape that I can use to make sure my workflow has no issues.
I can check the output at each part of the chain with this and make sure nothing is going wrong (say a bad cable injecting noise or something).
Has anyone got any high quality sample videos (preferably royalty free, so I can upload to YouTube) that I can use for this? I'm thinking something that starts with a minute of a test pattern and then a short video sequence.
If it matters, my chain is:
Samsung DVD player (just for sample generation)->
DATAVIDEO RGB to S-Video converter (just for sample generation)->
PANASONIC NV-HS830B-S VCR->
S-Video cable to ->
Panasonic ES10
S-Video cable to ->
SAA7133HL S-Video capture card.
Thanks for any help!
