I'm potentially interested in selling my Panasonic AG 5710. Don't worry, its not some over used workhorse unit you might find on ebay. I bought the machine back in June, however, I had it completely refurbished by Southern Advantage. The display is bright and sharp, and the PQ is perfect, no red and blue lines running through the picture. Tape threads and unthreads great, and record works as well. The top has some scratches on it, but nothing major. How much is a refurbished AG 5710, (AG 1980) worth?

I'd say it's "worth" at least $300+ if actually in flawless condition.
I've seen cherry units sell for anywhere from $500 to $700, which a few topping $900 in recent years.

New-in-box models have sold for close to MSRP, in the $1K to $2K range.
These need to be serviced anyway, as caps age regardless of use. Quite a few are sold as "new" but mention testing/servicing anyway.
There is still old-stock out there. SA has sold several in recent years.

Most units sell in the $200 to $250 range, though many of those are just promised to be in good working order, not fully serviced.

Broken units are worth less than $100.

Something is only "worth" as much as somebody is willing to pay. And that's where my amounts come from -- observation of sales.
