Im trying to develop a system instead of constantly going around in circles confusing myself regarding how to deal with captured AVI files. Right now ill do a lossless capture, then in Hybrid convert to MP4 using x264, compress down to 6000mbps and QTGMC bob deinterlace.

Then the compressed and deinterlaced file goes into premiere pro for trimming and colour editing. When exporting I basically match source and keep bit rate settings the same as the source but there is a slightly noticeable quality loss, despite the file information on both files in mediainfo looking the same. I am now wondering if my problem is the fact that I am compressing and converting and then sending the file in to Premiere?

I leave most settings in Hybrid default except those mentioned above.

Any suggestions appreciated, thanks
