There are a lot of DV boxes out there but one stood out since it has analog A/V INs and OUTs,
The Datavideo DAC-2. I was wondering if this has an active analog path or a passive analog path, If active that means the analog video is going thru the ADC and timing and out via a DAC, the other end goes to the DV encoder and out to firewire. If passive that means it has a small distribution amp that splits the analog input into two, one for digitizing and one for monitoring, and in this case it is useless- See proposed schematics.
Beside just skepticism is anybody own one of these or know where I can get the schematics for? If this is designed like the Edirol VMC-1 it is potentially a great device to be used as TBC, Well I know the responses so let's just say at least as an ES-10/15.
