I have got a load of MOD and associated MOI files from my JVC camcorder years ago. I now want to combine the correct files together so I can process in Virtualdub (detinterlace etc etc).

I can open the MOD files in virtualdub and append new files to the end of each other but that does seem time consuming.

I am also trying to do a Direct Stream Copy to combine these MOD files, but I cant save them as AVI, is there a better way to then process them to deinterlace

I have never worked with MOD files - so a newb on this

For any that need it: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MOD_and_TOD

I would try VirtualDub2 (full process mode) to encode to lossless AVI. Don't do anything else, definitely no filters. Just using it for the transcode. VirtualDub is best for capture and filter/restore, but VirtualDub2 is beter for transcode.

Thanks Lord Smurf - any ideas how I can join them all up. I've tried the Append but after I get to 3 Virtualdub2 crashes

Join new files after conversion, not before.
