FFVH isn't good for video editing because reverse...

FFVH isn't good for video editing because reverse seeking is very slow. I suspect that Premiere wasn't designed for that. FFVH is more of an archival codec.

HuffYUV is slightly worse compression...

Probably your VirtualDub2 is 64-bit and your HuffYUV is 32-bit, or vice-versa.

You can install both versions of HuffYUV at the same time, then you don't have to worry....

Maybe there's a dependency that I don't know about, so when I can find a Windows 7 CD or ISO, I will try installing it into a VM, then VirtualDub and HuffYUV.
